KCM Represented at Las Vegas Monorail Opening

	I've been a firm believer in the monorail system ever since I first read a column about it in a Seattle newspaper shortly after I moved here about 12 years ago. I just returned from a trip to Detroit where they use a modern monorail to move people up and down their A terminal at the airport. The new monorail in Dertroit is smooth, quiet and efficient. I wish we had a system here that looped around the entire 405 /I-5 corridor. I wish I could jump on a monorail in Woodinville and within a couple of transfers, be in Seattle or Microsoft campus! I never ride buses, but I would take a monorail! The system should link all major cities, from Bellevue to Kirkland, to Bothell to Seattle, the stadiums and the airport! When I was in Paris for vacation last year it was easy to get where ever you wanted without ever having to drive. We used the metro underground subway system to go everywhere. The monorail could do the same for the northwest! Seattle should wake up and be so smart!

	Just a note, the system in Detroit is not a monorail, it is an el-train. It does not ride on a single beam like a monorail does.
